About AWAA
The American World Artists Association is a non-profit international organization based in New York City founded in 1999.
Now AWAA is a membership association of Touring Performing Arts and Concert Professionals engaged in promoting and presenting performing arts throughout the world. Since its establishment, the association has awarded art awards to more than 80 outstanding artists of the world. The association now has more than 600 artists from more than 10 countries around the world. AWAA’s year-round programs are essential for musicians, artists, dancers, presenters and other art professionals in the world.
The meaning of AWAA is to advance excellence in performing arts presenting in all over the world by connecting and serving members and the fields at large.

FOUNDER
ANNA CHENNAULT
Anna Chennault, born Chan Sheng Mai later spelt Chen Xiangmei (陈香梅, actual birth year 1923 but reported as June 23, 1925 – March 30, 2018), also known as Anna Chan Chennault or Anna Chen Chennault, was a war correspondent and prominent Republican member of the US China Lobby. She was married to U.S. WWII aviator Claire Chennault.

PRESIDENT OF THE HONORARY
ZUO ZHENGUAN
Zuo was born in Shanghai in 1945. He is the only Chinese "Meritorious artist" in Russia. He is the founder of the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra.

"Music, like air, is what I need." Zuo created a lot of orchestral music, chamber music, musicals, ballet music, children music, movies music and Russian national instrumental music. Late last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered him to be awarded the highest honor in the Russian federation, the medal of friendship.

In 1992, he founded the Russian philharmonic orchestra. This band has absorbed the best musician, 80 Russian in too many concerts held in Russia, "Yellow River piano concerto" the performance such as Chinese melodies, also cooperation with many domestic and foreign Chinese musicians recorded a large number of records. Musicians in Moscow also have called Russian philharmonic orchestra “Chinese orchestra”. He was proud of the name.
